Prepare your lederhosen and your taste buds because the 8th Annual Hackettstown Oktoberfest is right around the corner! This beloved fall tradition is set to kick off the season with a bang on Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 12 PM to 6 PM daily. The festivities will continue until 8 PM, and various delicious food vendors will keep the party going.
What to expect at Hackettstown Oktoberfest
Hosted by the Hackettstown Business Improvement District (BID) in collaboration with Czig Meister Brewing Company and Man Skirt Brewing, this year’s Oktoberfest promises to be bigger and better than ever. It’s free to attend and perfect for gathering with friends and family for a weekend filled with fun, laughter, and plenty of brews.
About 1 mile down the road from High Street Dispensary the Hackettstown Oktoberfest will transform Main Street, Valentine Street, and Grand Avenue into a bustling street fair featuring a delightful mix of activities, contests, craft vendors, and mouthwatering food. From exciting contests to handmade craft vendors, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Plus, there will be kid-friendly activities and non-alcoholic beverage options, making this a perfect event for the whole family.
The event will feature live music with performances from Uncle Stump on Saturday, The Outcrops on Sunday, and a host of activities. Families will find plenty of activities to keep the little ones entertained. Some of the activities we’re most excited about include:
September 28th activities
- 12:30 PM: Barrel tapping: Senator Doherty will tap the barrel
- 3 PM: Wiener Dog Race
- 6 PM: Grain Bag Toss (sign-up day of)
- 7 PM: Stein Hold Competition
September 29th activities
- 1 PM: Cornhole Tournament
- 2 to 5 PM: The Outcrops
- 3 PM: U.S. Steinhold Competition
There will also be a huge variety of food vendors at the event, many of which have yet to be announced. Ride sharing is encouraged, but municipal lots and street parking are also available throughout town.
For more details and updates on the event, be sure to follow the Hackettstown BID social media channels. You can also sign up to be a vendor here.
